The Scrapsayings project has two websites: ScrapSayings.com and ScrapSayings.info. What's the difference? ScrapSayings.com has ads. After all, .com means commercial. I spend a lot of time building and maintaining this website, 200 pages and growing, plus customer emails, and I can't do it all gratis. The Google ads provide some income, and keep the site on the air. But … they clutter the page and degrade response time. In contrast, ScrapSayings.info is strictly informational, with no ads. It's a bit like public television; pay a small subscription fee annually and you can skipp all the commercials. For $10 a year, a McDonalds meal with an apple pie, you can log into ScrapSayings.info and read the articles at your leisure, with no ads and faster response times.
When you sign up, it costs you nothing. Your first ten days are free. If you enjoy crusing through this website with no ads, then take no further action; your paid subscription begins in ten days. If you are not satisfied with the commercial free experience, then cancel the subscription and pay nothing. It really is risk-free.
You can register as a new user below. Your login is your email address. I create a password for you, and send it to your email address. If you have your own computer, I can store your login and password in a cookie, so you only need login once. That's what the "remember me" button is for in the login form at the top of this page. If you are using your own computer, or your own account on a multi-user computer, you definitely want to push this button. Then you can go to any page on ScrapSayings.info and sail right through.
The ScrapSayings subscriptions are managed by paypal.com. If you don't have a paypal account, that's not a problem. A credit card will do just as well. When you sign up below, paypal will give you two options - use your paypal account or use a credit card. The latter creates a paypal account for you, but it's free, and only takes a few more clicks. Since your login is your email, you may want to read our privacy policy. In short, your email is not shared with anyone else, for any reason, period. Nor is it used for any unsolicited advertising. I use it to grant you access to the website, and provide service-related announcements; that's it. In fact you are more secure as a paid member, because third party advertisers are no longer placing cookies on your computer or monitoring your page views. I think this is worth the price of admission all by itself - don't you?
ScrapSayings.info requires cookies and javascript to work properly. If you don't know what these are, then youre fine, because they are on by default. If you have, for some reason, disabled these features in your browser, the login process will not work.
